Just east of Highway 67 on River Street in Friendship, Arkansas, is a newer concrete bridge crossing the Ouachita. This is the view upstream from the bridge.
There is a pretty view downstream. Apparently this island area creates the deeper hole upstream. These photos were taken in the fall of 2003 and the water level was down a couple of feet from earlier in the spring.
